How small businesses in Cumberland can access the Advice Voucher Scheme
The Advice Voucher Scheme is designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in the Cumberland area by offering financial assistance to access professional advice. This initiative, available until January 31, 2025, provides vouchers worth up to £500 to help businesses overcome challenges and seize growth opportunities with my support.

Scheme Overview
The scheme operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and the great news is there is no requirement for the businesses to match the funds. Each business is eligible for one voucher, which can be used alone or as part of a larger advisory package. However, the scheme only covers new activities that haven't yet started, been completed, invoiced, or paid for.
Application Process
To apply for the voucher, there are just a few simple steps to follow. Please get in touch with me and I’ll talk you through these, and signpost you to further info and the application form. Vouchers are available through to January 2025.
Claiming the Voucher
After the work is completed, you can claim the voucher amount by following these steps:
- Submit Your Claim: Email the Cumbria Growth Hub Finance & Compliance Facilitator and confirm I have completed the work, and that you’re happy with the service I provided.
- Provide Invoice: Attach a certified copy of my original invoice.
- Include Bank Details: Provide your bank details for the payment, which will usually be processed within ten working days.
If you're VAT registered, remember that you'll need to cover the VAT yourself and reclaim it through your VAT return. All claims, along with supporting documents, must be submitted by the deadline specified in your approval email.
